Install errors – Visual C++ 2013 redistributables x64 failed to install

Symptom
When attempting to install iFIX, the display shows the errors as below

Visual C++ 2013 redistributables x86 failed to install
Visual C++ 2013 redistributables x64 failed to install

Environment
Primary Product Module : Install

Cause
A Visual C++ 2013 redistributables or a newer version is already installed.

Resolution

  1. Open the Control Panel/Settings.
  2. Open Uninstall a Program. If it is a newer OS then first open Apps or System and then Apps & Features, next scroll to the bottom and click on Programs and Features.
  3. Uninstall any Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 or newer installations.
  4. Restart the computer.
  5. Install iFIX.

When attempting to install iFIX, the display shows the errors as belowVisual C++ 2013 redistributables x86 failed to installVisual C++ 2013 redistributables x64 failed to install: InstallA Visual C++ 2013 redistributables or a newer version is already installed.
