Step 2: After the Find and Replace dialog box appears, in tab Replace, enter the word you want to replace in the Find what box. Then in the box Replace with below, type in the word to replace.
In this example I will replace the text (date) with a specific date.
Once done, press Replace All to save the change.

Step 3: All the words have been replaced. A new box will appear to ask if you want to search the document again, select Yes to begin searching from the start or No to exit the window to proceed.

Note: In case you have a long document and it’s hard to find the exact position of the word or phrase. Just simply go to Home, then Replace ( or Ctrl + H) to open the dialog box. Type the word you want to change in the Find What cell and the word for substitution in Replace with. Click Find next so Word can proceed to find all such words in the document, then Replace or Replace All.
If you want to Replace specify lower case or upper case, select More then check at the box Match case.
